Yes. A lab-grown diamond is carbon crystallised into diamond — the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same fire, the same brilliance as a mined stone. It is not moissanite and not cubic zirconia; a jeweller's loupe cannot tell it from a mined diamond, because chemically and optically it is one.

The only difference is origin: grown in a controlled facility over weeks instead of mined from the earth — which is also why it costs less and carries no mining footprint.

Every stone, individually. Each diamond in your pair comes with its own IGI certificate verifying its carat weight, colour, clarity and cut — two stones, two certificates, independently graded.

On top of that, the finished pair comes with a certified appraisal document for your insurance records. You can verify each IGI report number directly on IGI's website.

Our studs are set with VVS clarity, E–F colour, Excellent cut round lab-grown diamonds. In plain terms:

• E–F colour is colourless — the top of the colour scale. The stones face up icy white.
• VVS clarity means inclusions are extremely difficult to see even under magnification — a step above VS for face-up purity on the ear.
• Excellent cut is what actually makes a diamond sparkle: light goes in, bounces, and comes back out at your eye.

We deliberately don't set lower-colour or lower-clarity stones in studs — earrings sit in daylight next to the face, where quality shows.

Carat weights are the total for the pair that the pair meets or exceeds — each ear is about half; matched stones may vary slightly (one under / one over half). The number that matters visually is the diameter of each stone:

• 0.5 ct pair — about 4 mm per stone: subtle, everyday
• 1 ct pair — about 5 mm: the classic first diamond stud
• 2 ct pair — about 6.5 mm: clearly visible across a room
• 3 ct pair — about 7.5 mm: a statement
• 5 ct pair — about 8.5 mm: the showstopper

Every pair is made to order in your choice of 10k, 14k or 18k gold — yellow, white or rose — or platinum. All ten options are standard; pick yours from the selector above.

On white gold: its bright silvery finish comes from a thin rhodium plating, standard across the industry, which can be refreshed over the years. Platinum is naturally white all the way through.

Growing a diamond above ground costs far less than mining one out of it — no exploration, no extraction, no long rough-trading chain. That saving is real and it lands in the price: the same size, colour and clarity typically costs a fraction of its mined equivalent.

Nothing about the stone itself is lesser. The certificates grade lab-grown diamonds on exactly the same 4Cs scale (cut, colour, clarity, carat) as mined ones.

Each pair is made to order in our Hamilton, Ontario workshop — please allow up to 2 weeks for crafting, inspection and your certificates and appraisal, then standard shipping time on top. Shipping is free, tracked and insured across Canada and the US.

• Clean at home with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush.
• Put them on after lotions, perfume and hairspray — residue dulls sparkle faster than anything else.
• Take them off for pools and hot tubs; chlorine is hard on gold alloys.
