About Rudix Jewellery

A family of jewellers,
generations deep.

Hamilton's family jeweller for engagement, custom design, fine jewellery, and the care that follows.

Our Heritage

Where we started — and what came before.

Rudix Jewellery comes from a family of jewellers, generations deep. The story in Canada starts in 2007.

That year, we founded Soheil's Gems Limited — a wholesale gemstone and diamond supplier serving jewellery retailers across Canada. For ten years, our customers were other jewellers — which gave us a clear view of the trade from the inside. We learned what makes a stone exceptional, how the trade actually prices and sources its inventory, and what it takes to earn a customer's trust over a lifetime.

In 2017, we opened our doors to the public under a new name — Rudix Jewellery — with a showroom on Upper James in Hamilton. The wholesale side is still part of who we are, but retail is where the relationships live.

Why Retail

Why we opened to the public.

A decade of wholesale work taught us the trade from the inside. We knew what stones were available, what they really cost, and what it took to source them well. We also knew that by the time those same stones reached most retail counters, they'd been marked up two or three times over.

The encouragement to open a retail store came from Vicki — Soheil's wife and our partner in the business. She'd say: "You have the stones, the experience, and the relationships. Open the doors. Let people buy directly from someone who actually knows what they're handing them."

So in 2017, we did. Vicki has been part of every step since — bringing her own design instincts, looking after the customer side of every job, and shaping the experience our clients describe in their reviews. Rudix Jewellery isn't a brand built on markup. It's a wholesale operation that decided to sell directly to the people wearing the pieces — at the quality level we'd choose for our own family.

That's how we ended up with customers who drive from across Ontario to see us, fly in from across Canada and beyond, and come back across decades — for engagement rings, wedding bands, and the pieces that mark every chapter after.

The Studio & Workshop

Designed in Hamilton. Made by hand.

Every custom piece at Rudix starts with a conversation. Soheil leads the technical design work — sketching, building CAD renders, refining every detail until the piece on screen matches the piece in your imagination. Vicki brings her own design instincts and looks after each client through the process. From there, the work moves to our workshop, where skilled bench jewellers cast, set, and finish each piece by hand.

Customers often arrive with photos, sketches, or Pinterest boards — sometimes just a description. What they tell us, again and again, is that we listen first, ask questions, and don't push.

That two-step structure — designed by us, handcrafted by our workshop — is unusual. Many custom jewellers are solo designers without a real production team, which means they outsource the making. Many production-heavy jewellers don't have a true designer in house, which means the design work is templated. We do both, under one roof, which is why our custom work feels coherent from first sketch to final polish.

What We Do

What we sell — and what we don't.

We sell engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary and eternity pieces, fine jewellery for every day, gemstone and pearl pieces, men's jewellery, religious pieces, personalized work, and one-of-a-kind custom designs. Our diamond selection includes natural, lab-grown, and moissanite — chosen by you, not pushed by us.

We don't run sales as a business strategy. We don't push customers toward more expensive pieces than they came in for. We don't carry brands you can find anywhere else; if a customer wants something specific, we'd rather custom-make it for them than mark up a generic version. The wholesale background means we already work on smaller margins than most retailers — there's no inflated price to discount from.

Care That Lasts

A jeweller is not a one-time relationship.

Most pieces sold at Rudix come with extended care included — covered cleaning, inspections, and minor service for years after the purchase, not just at the moment of sale. Beyond that, our workshop handles the full range of jewellery services for any customer, whether the piece was made here or not: resizing, stone replacement, rhodium plating, repairs, watch batteries, engraving, pearl restringing. We also take on antique and vintage work that other jewellers turn away.

The customer who buys an engagement ring from us this year often comes back for a wedding band, then an anniversary piece, then a gift for a daughter or a grandparent. We've been doing this long enough to have seen those cycles complete. The goal is to be the family jeweller for your family — for as long as you'll have us.
